1. At BYU, sometimes it can be hard to feel like we can be a leader in the community. But a few different communities that I thought of that we could be a leader in are our: school community, ward, and even just within our apartments or dorm complexes.
2. I think for me this first semester at college, things are crazy and time is limited. However, I loved how John Cowl spoke about the small and simple things. Simply making the classroom a better environment for learning, gathering a group of friends to go out and doing something good and fun, and even volunteering at Y Serve, BYUSA or different clubs when time is available.
3. I am a strong believer in the "no title" leader. I believe one can be a leader every where that they go just by their example. You can be a leader in your family, obeying and honoring your parents, and creating peace and light in your home. Being optimistic and having a smile can change the attitudes of many people you see just in passing, helping them be better people. I believe that just by giving service and being kind and loving to others, you can be a leader at any time, any where-- no matter how much time is on your hands.
