"Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending."
We are granted the gift and the blessing in this life of change. To be able to change, to embrace change, to change somebody's life, to change your outlook on life. I've been thinking in quantity about change, and learning to accept it. Things happen in our lives that cause things to change, for better or for worse, but it is about learning to accept whatever is and to roll with it. So for now, I'm changing my outlook that I have on change, embracing it with open arms, but being cautioned by those things that could lead to bad changes.
Habits. "Watch your thoughts for they become your words. Watch your words, for they become your actions. Watch your actions, for they become your habits. Watch your habits, for they become your character. Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny."
Habits gets caught in the middle of this some place, but they can be extremely difficult. If we wish to break bad habits, we need to first start with our minds. Feeding your body with healthy foods and steering clear of the harmful things that may cause it to deteriorate leads you to live a longer, happier life. The same holds true with our minds. Feeding our minds with good, positive influences lead us to become a happier, better person. Today I am going to work on breaking bad habits.
Gratitude. "An attitude of gratitude." This is the season of gratitude. The giving, the laughter, the happiness, the joy. The spirit, the friendship, the family. Gratitude is about recognizing the things which you have been given and recognizing from whence they came. In doing so, your attitude begins to rise to one of humility, one of positivity, clear of jealousy and comparing. But why just this season? Let's make it something of a year round. So, from now on, I am grateful.
