live it up 2010! oh how I love making decisions...

So it's a new year, a new semester, and a new start. How awesome is it that we get to have a brand new year to start over and make new goals for ourselves?! haha I think it's great. Well let's see... let me get you caught up on the rest of Christmas Break. So the day after Christmas, I went to our cabin for the first time! haha we got a cabin in October, and this was my first time actually being able to go up to it. It was so fun! But there was one problem.. GREEN. hahaha there was dark, ugly green paint every where!! So, my mom, sister and I decided to start painting as we just could simply not bear it anymore. We finished mostly everything in a couple days, it was amazing! oh funny story... so i was painting the ceiling and the roller came unscrewed, and just as i looked up, it hit me in the head and rolled down my neck and down my arm. haha paint got every where!

my mom said it was like in slow motion! haha then we just started laughing and kept painting even though it was about 1 in the morning and we were jamming out to country music. haha yeah, we are hardcore. Well so then I came back for a day because it was the Wright family dance off! haha we couldn't miss it. We had some pretty outstanding and hilarious numbers, as well as "Miley Cyrus" singing and dancing to Party in the U.S.A.. haha it was really my cousin Bethany but she and her back up dancers pretty much hit the nail on the head impersonating that music video. haha so then I brought my cousin Bethany up to the cabin and we stayed there for a few days and played in the snow! 

It was soo much fun. i love bethany! SOOO then the NEW YEAR came so fast! I hung out with some family and friends and then I went to a party! And my friends made our annual theme for the year.. LIVE IT. haha last year Brookie and I's was whatever. but I feel like this theme will fit this year great. I set some pretty sweet goals for myself that I am hoping will happen!! YAYAY go 2010! Let's make this year rooock.


Kay so now. We had our first day back to school today! It was crazy but fun! My schedule stayed the exact same, but I got some new people in my classes. This semester is going to be INSANE but it'll be totally awesome at the same time! BUT! Decisions, decisions, decisions. Decision making is something that I, as well as many fellow people out there probably hate to do. Sometimes it's almost as if we just wish that our parents can make the decisions for us. But we all know that in reality, we all come to that point where we have to make up our mind for ourself and not rely on what the people around us want. I know that to many this may seem pretty minor, but my decision is choosing between student council and pom. For the past four years I have been in student council and have loved it. My freshman year, I randomly decided that I wanted to try out for Poston cheer. So, I did. I tried and I was luckily sucessful. It was one of the funnest things ever! And I also was able to do Student Council and all these other things. It was great. So this year, at Mountain View, I decided to try out for JV pom so that I could still be in Student Council. And that's where I am at this point.

Stuck with 2 totally different things, that I both love. In a couple months however, I have to make a hard decision. Do I want to try out for Varsity pom or stick to Student Council? Because sadly, you cannot do both. Any suggestions? So I am left to ponder on what to do... but what I have realized is that in life, you need to do things for yourself sometimes. Be who YOU want to be. True friends will like you for who you are.

 Whatever you do, like being a cheerleader, or being the student body president, does not define who you are. That is just part of what you are. So no matter what I do, I still need to be myself and try to develop as many talents as I can. Because if those things were to disappear... what would I be?
